Our History

The 1000 Island Animal Hospital, P.C. was established in 1984 by two local Veterinarians, Dr. Roger Gillett and Dr. Edwin Presley.  Dr. Carla Bender joined the practice in 1988.  She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, and from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with a D.V.M.  While Dr.'s Presley and Gillett have retired, Dr. Bender and her health care team Michelle, Kate, Taylor, Julie and Amber
 continue the tradition of quality health care for your family pet.  They provide care for small animal's-the majority being dogs and cats.
